A Quick Update on What I’ve Been Writing

Fortune's Smile, a new story by Palessa coming to Wattpad

Yes, that little stick figure is supposed to be me. The last time I was that short, I think I was in utero ๐Ÿ˜œ

Anyway, I am happy to say that now that I have a decent wireless keyboard, I am now in transcribing mode. I have 3 story drafts to add to my “cloud.” This one, Fortune’s Smile, is going to be free on WattPad. I have decided to do more on WattPad because I consider it one of the best platforms to play with some of the ideas I have in my head. It’s going to be my sandbox, so to speak. These stories will be somewhat edited and may even be a little different from my books but just as valued by me. I am definitely opening up my writing avenues because part of me needs to get some of my mojo back. The year that has been 2016 has been both rewarding and trying so I think I’ve been in hiding a bit.

Additionally, I am now going to start my research into the next installment of the Growing Wild series. It has been so long since I’ve had the follow-up to Eyubea Girls in my head and while Graham has been patient (Like he has any other choice), it’s time to start researching that as well as the other historical stories I have waiting in the wings.

Other piece of good news is that in late January, Tobey Fine will be OUT of KDP select ๐Ÿ™Œ I’m excited because the way things are going and have been going for a long time, it’s better to expand platforms and not consign myself to just one. I do plan on getting on iBooks, which will be a great step for sure as there are some readers who are just Apple loyalists. I will keep you all posted on that.

I’m excited about 2017, which looks to be another year with more good than otherwise.

So, on this last Friday of 2016, I want to wish everyone a very HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR! ๐ŸŽ‡๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿป Have a drink, sing some songs and watch reruns of your favorite shows while stuffing your face with caramel popcorn…Yes?

About A~P

Palessa started reading her first romance novel, at the age of 11. Then she got introduced to V.C. Andrews, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Anne Rice and many more notable contemporary authors as well as some of the classics, A Tale of Two Cities, Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Great Gatsby and others. It was during her teenage years that she dabbled in writing. First, it was in her diaries, then she started creating characters, stories about romance, the supernatural and much more. Being an International Baccalaureate student as well as entering college, left little time for writing and so she put it and the ideas aside to pursue a career. It would take almost 20 years, a radical move from the city she grew up in, Miami, FL back to her Caribbean birthplace, and a chance Facebook meeting with Sable Hunter to start the juices flowing again. After some fits and starts, the Baxter Family Saga was born. Unchained Hearts is Palessa's first published fiction book with Beau Coup Publishing. She considers herself just a storyteller that sees no reason to shy away from the juicier romantic elements. She currently lives in the mountains of Jamaica with her crazy, cracker-munching-mutt Ivy and a farm, primarily managed by agribusiness partner, also known as Dad.
